Dealing with Mocking

Most of us have had to deal with some level of mocking and derision in our lives. We know that it can be hard to bear without lashing out in anger or crawling into a shell of some kind. However, as children of God we are expected to continue to walk right and with a good attitude. How can we do that and still be joyful?
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,” 2Pet 3:3
First, we should be expecting it in a world driven by the Devil and his values. I believe that knowing their motivation, arguments and attitudes can help us to remember that those very things (lusts, willing ignorance, and coming judgment) were our problems too before Christ. Moreover, those mockers are often the actual mission God has given to us. Our greatest weapon and support is to “Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” Vs 18
We cannot let this difficulty derail our testimony and mission.
